Most people trying to lose weight and live a healthy lifestyle, believe that the process is difficult and almost impossible to achieve. This often fills us with feelings of defeat, lowered self-esteem and weight gain. It seems that diets often set us up for failure instead of making us feel better about ourselves.
Diets often are too rigid for many of us to continue with them over the long haul. They seem to stress us out emotionally and physically, and we soon revert to our old habits of overeating. We become controlled by the diets and lose the enjoyment of our foods and the enjoyment of a healthy lifestyle and regular physical activity. This is not the way most of us will be able to live for very long.
