2 Supplements to Increase Fat Loss

There are quite a few supplements that can aid in fat loss, but there are two that you can and should start taking advantage of immediately to help you achieve your weight loss goals.
Two Supplements to Increase Fat Loss:
1.) Resveratrol-
Resveratrol mimics calorie restriction's effects on metabolism in clinical trials. Studies have shown that men supplementing with reseveratrol experienced metabolic effects similar to those observed in animal studies of calorie restriction. Resveratrol is a compound that occurs in red grapes, wine, and other plant foods.
The reports observed were from studies of eleven obese men who received either a placebo or 150 milligrams trans-resveratrol for 30 days each. The body mass index, whole-body energy expenditure, lipid storage, plasma markers of metabolic function, fat storage as well as others were measured before and after treatment. The effects of resveratrol were shown to mimic the effects of a calorie restricted diet.
2.) Whey Protein-
Whey helps prevent loss of muscle during dieting. This is especially important among older individuals because of muscle wasting from aging. Age-related loss of muscle mass (sarcopenia) negatively impacts an aging adult's ability to perform daily tasks such as climbing stairs and carrying groceries. Not only does muscle loss negatively effect daily tasks but it also caused the metabolism to slow down considerably slowing the amount of calories burned and promotes fat storage. During a period of restricted calories (such as during dieting) the loss of muscle mass is often accelerated further.
Whey protein may be able to counter that loss of muscle during a diet. In a six-month, double blind study, 31 obese women were divided into tow groups. Both followed a 1,400 calorie restricted diet.
One group received a 50g whey protein supplement (2 scoops of 25g of whey) in the morning and evening. The other received carbohydrates in the form of maltodextrin at the same dose.
The study found that women given the whey protein not only lost 3.9% more weight but gained 5.8% more thigh muscle vs. the group of women given the carbohydrates.
Whey protein has a number of ways it helps with weight loss, but it also helps to preserve muscle which is essential to burning more calories. Researches have shown one important reason whey protein help with weight and fat loss. The people who consumed whey protein had significantly lower blood levels of the hormone ghrelin.
What is ghelin and how does it support fat loss?
It's a hormone that regulates food intake. The higher the level of ghrelin, the more hungry you are, and conversely the lower the level, the fuller you feel. In short, this keeps your appetite under control.
Use these two supplements (Resveratrol and Whey protein) in conjunction with diet and exercise to help you reach your fat loss goals.
